  • According to the Washington Times,

Obama’s call to close Vatican embassy is ‘slap in the face’ to Roman Catholics

The Obama administration, in what’s been called an egregious slap in the face to the Vatican, has moved to shut down the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See — a free-standing facility — and relocate offices onto the grounds of the larger American Embassy in Italy.

The new offices will be in a separate building on the property, Breitbart reported.

And while U.S. officials are touting the relocation as a security measure that’s a cautionary reaction to last year’s attacks on America's facility in Benghazi, several former American envoys are raising the red flag.

It’s a “massive downgrade of U.S.-Vatican ties,” said former U.S. Ambassador James Nicholson in the National Catholic Reporter. “It’s turning this embassy into a stepchild of the embassy to Italy. The Holy See is a pivot point for international affairs and a major listening post for the United States, and … [it’s] an insult to American Catholics and to the Vatican.”

  • My guess is that Catholics will mourn America's further turn from Christendom, while sedevacantists will rejoice with a stiff smile at the move, pouring out further contempt for the Bride of Christ, much like Lutherans.

Matto's post is a good preview.

Do you like insulting sedevacantists while believing that Francis is actually Catholic?

Do you believe Francis is Catholic?

  • Does this mean the rogues in the U.S. government know a fαℓѕє fℓαg attack will occur against the Vatican, which will be blamed on Muslims or Russia to justify more wars and maybe another new "boogyman" who has replaced OBL? Maybe they will blame it on Assad or Iran. I think I read some Israeli news source saying there is a "terrorist threat" against the Vatican, too. The psychological manipulation and preconditioning is in the works. Keep an eye on the Jєωιѕн community in the nearby vicinity of the Vatican and surrounding Rome. If they disappear or move somewhere, then you should expect something big is coming... The same goes with a major establishment corporation that has close ties to the community in Rome near the Vatican.  If they move their offices or cancel any type of leases in surrounding areas, then that should be a red flag. These same incidents occurred leading up to 9/11. Let me add that what happens to the Vatican /Rome will be punishment for sin and apostasy. Evil begets evil, and God will allow evil to happen to people as punishment for their own evil and sin. The Vatican is an incubator of evil and apostasy.

What complete idiocy to try to make parallels to the Vatican's security "threats" and Benghazi's security threats since they are two completely different environments, and the latter was a situation of "the chicken coming home to roost" AND the oligarchs, who manipulate U.S. foreign policy, sacrificing their willing puppets, Ambassador Stevens, albeit, who was among the establishment, in an attempt to fuel more disdain against the "Muslim terrorists", but it majorly backfired because evidence shows the Obama administration was willingly severely deficient in providing security for the Consulate / Embassy. The chicken came home to roost for Stevens because he was killed by the very same rebels / terrorists whom he helped recruit and support in murdering Gaddafi and causing instability in Libya, which coincided with the U.S. spearheading a bombing campaign against the country. He simply got a taste of his own lethal medicine he was administering to the Gaddafi regime through hired mercenaries, and those same thugs ended up killing him. The Western media deliberately avoids this fundamental issue.

Oh, they will. But for the majority it will be too late.

  • In all fairness, why would the Obama administration need to curry any favors with the power brokers of the Vatican?  Just look at the way Cardinal Dolan clowns it up with a big smile on his face while sitting next to Obama?  Keep in mind that Obama is committed, body and soul, to abortion on demand.  Did Card. dolan's yucking it up earn him any brownie points?

It looks like hiding your convictions and buddying up to committed enemies of the church isn't getting the concilliarists the political points that they had wished for...   ...and to think that in novus ordo churches everywhere they included "that the government on the u.s. Would reform the medical system...  Hear our prayers" - who'd a thunk that that would include not only the entrenching of abortion rights but forcing even religious organization to provide funding for it.

Many libertarians also have no problem with abortion on demand no?

In all seriousness of course no Catholic could in good conscience vote for a pro-abortion President like Obama but it doesn't stop the clergy from being absolute cowards when it comes to facing liberal politicians.
