  • Hello everyone! My name is MARCH, literally. That's my initials. I am a traditional Catholic who belongs to an FSSP parish. Our parish is the first traditional parish in the USA. Since I do not belong to the SSPX, am I welcome here?   :sign-surrender:

Welcome! There are a few trads here who attend an FSSP parish, myself included. However, I would prefer to attend a Resistance Mass, if there were one that I could reasonably get to. The FSSP parish I attend is okay, but hardly ideal.

  • Hello!

The only issue I see on your horizon is that the FSSP doesn't want you exposed to the information here, and they certainly don't want you to spread it around an FSSP Church! ( Been there, done that)

Be that as it may, Welcome!

How about St. Brendan's Irish Monks Trad chapel around 560AD ?

Try to imagine their chapel coffee room?   Only tea and hard biscuits!

Is it in Minnesota? St. Agnes and St. Augustine in suburban Saint Paul were doing weekly Latin Masses after the council.

Neither have the FSSP.  All Saints in Minneapolis is the only FSSP proper parish in the Twin Cities (and in the state, to my knowledge), and it's only existed for less than five years.

St. Augustine never stopped the Latin Mass to my knowledge, Fr. Zweber (RIP) was pastor for a long time.  Same with St. Agnes under Msgr. Schuler (RIP).  Good German priests.

  • I hope that MARCH will post again. I sent her a PM to ask if this same announcement was made at her parish.

At the FSSP parish that I attend, Father made an announcement before the homily in which he requested prayers for Pope Francis, so that those parts of Amoris Laetitia that do not conform to the Church's teaching on marriage will be revoked (or words to that effect). He said that they have Fr. Berg's permission to request prayers. I'd say that this is a positive move. More than Bishop Fellay has done. Kind of scary that the FSSP are more concerned about Amoris Latitia than the SSPX. But then the FSSP might be forced to give Holy Communion to unrepentant adulterers at some point in the near future. And if the SSPX reconciles, they will have to do the same.
