  • In Revere, Massachusetts, police and prosecutors have said that they found no evidence of wrongdoing in a case that has led to the forced resignation of a Catholic pastor, the principal of the parish school, and another teacher at that school.

Immaculate Conception parish was shaken by reports of sɛҳuąƖ abuse at the parochial school. The Boston archdiocese promptly removed the pastor for failing to report the incident “in a timely manner,” and the principal and teacher resigned for the same reason. Upon full investigation, prosecutors found that the reports were triggered by an adult male custodian who used the boys’ bathroom. There was no allegation that the custodian engaged in any improper conduct, apart from using the boys’ bathroom rather than another facility for staff.

  • I'm not defending the novus ordo, but there actually are groups out there staging these events.  It only takes the recruiting of one malcontent, or at least finding one miscreant who will make up lies for notoriety or cash, and then the newspapers and media will lose all interest in checking out a story and just run with it.

Unfortunately, this is true.  I recall reading a few years ago that the NO Bishop of Pittsburgh was accused of some kind of pedophilia.  He denied it, the local authorities looked into the matter and not only didn't prosecute him, but actually stated that they believed him to be entirely innocent and the accuser to be lying and looking for money.  Nevertheless, groups like SNAP still called for the bishop to be removed and defrocked.
