Interesting how the de-nαzιfication process did not undue the centralization of Germany.....hmm.. :scratchchin:
Because the Allies were as bad as the National-Socialists (NSDAP). Basically the same anti-catholic bunch.
(By the way, the word "nαzι" is another Jєωιѕн invention many years after the war. To hide a little bit the fact that the NSDAP were national socialists, i.e. communists.)
Too bad, to, the Dolfuss did not get to act on a vision he had, to unite Austria and Bavaria into a Germanic Catholic nation...even talk of returning the Habsburgs....
IMO this will be one thing which could happen after a World War III: an union of the Germanic or pro Germanic (like Ungary) countries with catholic kings and one emperor crowned by a (then) real pope in the wonderful
cathedral of Köln (Cologne).
We'll have to wait and see.
Already today there's several countries which were part of the
Sacrum Romanum Imperium and would like to unite in one community.
However, first the people have to regain their catholicism so that this community can be a catholic one, better a catholic empire.
When you look at the last 50 years, we see that the people don't want to regain their catholicism voluntary. Now if we look back at history which always is "salvation history" (correct word?) meaning God is in control of it, we see that if God's chosen people (the catholics since Golgotha) don't act decently for a certain time, God will "help" them by some scourges. For example German Luther 1517 ->
Thirty Years' War, Britains apostate King Henry VIII, etc.)
Well, I am sorry for having hijacked the thread!P.S. In my above posting I meant "When Bayern fell" not "... felt" ... Sorry.
