  • No more discussing "the pink issue" regards SGG.

That includes positive (assertions) AS WELL AS negative (denials).

This won't be burdensome to Eamon et al, because they are of the same mind. They want to stick to the concrete facts.

Any SGG defenders who come on here and try to distract everybody (members and guests) with the Red Herring that is the Pink issue -- no more!

I deleted the Ode thread. I will be deleting the "insinuations that Fr. Cekada..." thread as well. We're starting over.

If anyone knows of any other threads that mention violations of the Sixth Commandment and SGG in the same sentence -- please let me know.

Now we're just going to focus on more concrete evidence that something is amiss.

I still say that if there are persistent rumors about something -- particularly an issue where proof is literally impossible -- it might be advisable to not move across the country to be with those priests. As someone on here posted, PERSISTENT RUMORS is actually STEP ONE in the process: it's how the Church knows she needs to start an investigation into priestly immorality/misconduct.

I filled in a blank for you (in red). They also confiscated the bank accounts and building fund to the tune of $143,000.

Are you sure the St.Clare's church was worth only $320k? That was a modeled brick building and, needless to say, they dont come cheap, even in Texas.

True, it was basically given away because of the desperate need to sell it. The property was valued at $800,000 by the Franklin County Auditor and was offered for sale at over $600,000 in 2006. There was also a real offer of over $500,000 for the property in 2007.

The building was constructed during the church building renaissance (1924) in the United States, constructed of limestone. Walls 20" thick.  I'll post some photos.

The congregation paid $255,000 for the building in 1995, so selling at 320K fifteen years later was a crime in itself.

  • The former St. Clare's in Columbus, Ohio.

Sold by Bp. Dolan and Fr. Cekada in July of 2010.

  • The traditional Catholics in Columbus have nothing now in the way of a place for Mass. This is the legacy of Cekada/Dolan.

  • I have to vehemently disagree with Matthew regarding the "pink issue". It is not like there are one or two reprobate calumniators out there attacking the Cure' d'Ars. There are not that many sedes out there, and for an extremely high percentage of them who have known these priests ALL TO SAY THE SAME THING is certainly a warning. Following the precepts of reason, we must ask ourselves what those in former ages did to prove someone was guilty of such a sin, as the penalty was DEATH. Also, we must ask ourselves not only of the threat to society in general, but ESPECIALLY traditional Catholic families who (will and now ) entrust their children to these men.

  • I'm sure all CathInfo readers (present and future) will find out about the Issue from past posts. There's enough tidbits out there on CathInfo (still!) to do the job.

My reason for this prohibition is that it DISTRACTS from the true problem -- the provable, grave issues -- with Bishop Dolan and Fr. Cekada.

The "SGG damage control" has made use of this about a dozen times to divert threads and generally distract attention from the issues we SHOULD be hitting home.
