I often frequent a blog by Thomas Beale, "Vox Day." His wife, "Spacebunny," who moderates the comments section, decided Laramie should be "tewtelly pw3d," and acted like a pissy snob in response to everything I posted.

In the end, no matter how many times I tried to explain, clarify, make peace, or whatever, she continued to show no signs that she is nothing than a dumb turd who hates Catholics. I did my best not to retort with any name-calling or any of that, though I did call her a bigot at some point, and mocked her in the end.

Anyone wanna take a look at the "exchange" and give a bit of feedback on what happened this week? I'm looking for more insight, as I am not a professional apologist. Just a guy who is scratching one blog off his favorites list.

I suppose it is just sometimes hard to realize that there are people out there who are as awful as that.

Pearls before swine. She's either an ex-Catholic or Orthodox or both. Both groups seem to have the most blind animosity towards the Church. Her egregious lack of charity betrays the condition of her soul.

Sounds like a board of libertarians who see political ideology as more important than religious truth. Just an observation.

Yeah, she's truly an ugly personality, and her tone is insufferably pompous and pseudo-intellectual. I couldn't even read the whole exchange because I was too disgusted. You did a good job, though, as did the poster "Holla." I say you should wipe the dust off your feet and move on. She doesn't seem to have the ears to hear.

It would not surprise me if she was a convert to Eastern Orthodoxy from some form of Protestantism. I say this not because there aren't anti-Catholic(ism) EOs in Orthodox countries, but because by converting to Orthodoxy she can still maintain her anti-Catholicism.

Laramie, you can't fight them with words and logic and win. So don't blame yourself.
