Best of luck. We stayed at a cabin in Lake Arrowhead when I was a kid, me and my sister got lost and ended up at the sheriffs station.

    - I take that back, we were at Big Bear. Is that in Lake Arrowhead ?

If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • How far do you have to go to count as a "move"?

I live in the same city I was born in, though I've also lived in a few neighboring cities. I've never moved further than 20 miles.

I lived there between the ages of 1 and 3. They tell me it was cold.

    Quite a few options.

SSPV and SSPX in the Twin Cities, as well as the local Resistance.

SSPX (x2 if you count Browerville) and CMRI in central MN.

There is an independent priest who makes rounds south of the cities, as well as SSPX in southern MN (Winona) and SSPV mission (Mankato or Rocherster, possibly both).

Not sure how things are in the northern part of the state-- there is an indult in Duluth, but I think that's it.  The last indult with a certainly valid priest (by my estimation) ended in the Twin Cities in the late 90's or early 2000's.

I'm also aware of at least one other small mission in the southern part of the state, and there may be others dispersed throughout.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Mith, I think there's an SSPX chapel in Crookston, so you have that for the northern part.

As for me, I was born in Queens. Moved to kinda-Minneapolis, MN and then moved about 20 minutes north into the suburbs like a decade ago.

Hi Crossbro- Just realized the last sentence.

Its on the way to Big Bear. Lake Arrowhead is at about 5,500 feet; big bear is at 8,000 feet. Regardless- getting lost would be scary in either place for anyone, especially a little kid!
