  • I wouldn't dismiss the significance of this.

Our Lady told us that a light in the sky would be a harbinger of WW2, and we know that the next chastisement will involve Russia.  Is this a sign that WW3 will break out soon in the wake of a Russian incursion into the Ukraine?  Quite possibly.

A radio report yesterday said that so far in the recent fighting in Ukraine, there have been 43,000 casualties, Russia is building up armed forces along the border (and HAS been for months), and that tensions are on the increase, all in spite of the so-called cease fire.

When 43,000 people are killed in combat, it's usually called "war."

How do we know that the next chastisement will involve Russia?

  • If you read a good Catholic history of Our Lady of Fatima, you will easily grasp the Russian part, AwkwardC.

How do the words of a single visionary amount to the kind of certitude displayed by a "we know"?

  • That could have been from some sort of weapons test for all we know, or some other kind of experiment.

If that was really a sign from God I imagine it would be visible to people outside Russia and for a much longer period of time, not just 5 or 10 seconds.

Lots of Catholic prophecy points to this.  Elena Aiello and several others.

I tend to agree with you, Catholic Samurai.   :nunchaku:

A radio report yesterday said that so far in the recent fighting in Ukraine, there have been 43,000 casualties, [....] all in spite of the so-called cease fire.

When 43,000 people are killed in combat, it's usually called "war."

Indeed.  Approximately that number of U.S. military killed was an impetus for Lyndon Johnson to decine to run for a 2nd term as U.S. president (1968), and later for his immediate successor, President Nixon, to withdraw the U.S. military forces & diplomatic corps from what had been conceded for years to be a  "war" in Indochina.[†]

But not all "casualties" are people "killed".  It's a military term that takes a coldly numerical perspective, counting people who can no longer participate in the military force.  So it counts not only people "killed", but also those who are disabled as injured, wounded, or ill, who have been captured (and remain so), or are unaccounted for, being missing.

The "casualties" might also include known or suspected deserters.
    -------
Note †: More commonly--but less accurately--called the "Vietnam War".  U.S. Dept. of Defense and U.S. Veterans' Administration in 2010 issued what might be called a final accounting: 58,220 U.S. dead plus 303,644 U.S. wounded: that's 361,864 "casualties" before adding in those still missing after all these years.  Of course, considering the source(s), that is an  Americentric accounting.

As I recall, the word "casualties" was my own, and the report I heard said that 43,000 people have died in this area.  I just used 'casualties' to avoid repetition of "killed."

Lots of Catholic prophecy points to this.  Elena Aiello and several others.

So many prophecies, with variations, but all pointing to a single narrative, which tells of an event - a chastisement or the Consecration of Russia - which will be followed by a much longed-for restoration of the Church and of Christendom.

But what if the following applies to these prophecies?

    Quote

For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matt 24:24)

What if these 'prophecies' are intended to distract from another narrative?  What if Vatican II is the revolt that St Paul warns about in 2Thessalonians?  What if the "one who holds" is the Pope?  What if he has indeed been "taken out of the way" and the Seat is now vacant?

Isn't it a bit strange that so many of these 'prophecies' warn of three days of darkness?  Meanwhile Matt 24:29-30 warns of a period of darkness to come immediately before Christ's Coming.

    Quote

And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be moved: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power and majesty.

Does this mean there will be more than one period of darkness, or that the 'prophecies' have borrowed from St Matthew's Gospel?  Hmmm.

According to St Paul, the revolt is followed by the rise of the Antichrist.

PS.  Communism was not an error of Russia.  Communism was born on the West and imposed on Russia.
