  • FWIW, I have a FB page where I have recently been posting various articles.  I am online all day due to the nature of my present job, but I do not have time to post everything on every site I would like.  Some things end up here, some end up there, etc.  If you care to take a peek at what I have posted there, my account is under Eamon Patrick Shea, and you will know it is mine because the photo I use for my profile is the same as my avatar here at cathinfo.  At the very least, you may come across a source that is new to you, and may prove helpful.  Godspeed :)

  • Well, I just went to Facebook, and, as far as I can tell, those who are not members CANNOT simply view the page where I have been posting news items, etc.  If anyone knows how to set things up so any and all CAN view this profile page, please let me know.

  • That is how it seems to be -- which is kind of silly.  Oh well :)

My hope (and illusion) was that anyone, friend, foe, whatever, could see what I am posting.

  • There is a place, I think when you click share, it will ask you if your notes can be read by only your friends or everyone.

I remember clicking everyone since I am an online artist and want people to see my links where I sell my art, including traditional Catholic greeting cards.   If anyone is looking for a Traditional Catholic greeting card custom made with names and such let me know,  no obligation to purchase.  It is through zazzle and I only get 30 cents commision per card sold, so I am not trying to get rich.  I do this to promote the Traditional Catholic Faith.

Getting back to FB.  try the share button, or your account, to change so eveyone can see, sorry I don't know exactly where that feature was, but it was not hard to find, I do remember that.
    Please pray for my soul.

You can change your privacy settings to enable any member of Facebook to see your profile.

I befriended you last week, so I can see your posts. Not had a proper look yet though.

  • I changed my profile settings.  The last thing I posted prompted the system to ask me if I was sure I wanted ALL to be able to see what I posted, so it seems the problem may have been addressed.

If someone could please see if they CAN, without being a logged in member, look at the things I have posted, I would be appreciative.  It is clearly possible to set one's page up in that manner, as I have seen other pages that are completely accessible to all.

Thank you for the comments/feedback :)

Who'd have thought there are at least 4 Eamon Shea's in the world??

  • You could try posting your stuff on freewebs and then put the link of your website in your signature. That way people don't need to be on facebook to see your articles.

In regards to being a responsible man, would it be interesting to learn, after six years of accuмulating all the wisdom you could, that you had it right all alon

  • Thanks for the tip.  I have my doubts that I will be sufficiently plugged in for a long enough time to make it worth my while, but one never knows...
