I just wanted to start a thread wherein people can post musical videos/recordings of themselves singing various songs, hymns, etc.

Matthew or Mater, please MOVE this to a more appropriate folder. I posted it here by accident :)

That was very good, gv.

Thanks, sheep :)
It can always be better, but this isn't about perfection or becoming recording stars -- just about having some fun and sharing our talents with each other.

I really need to get some speakers for my computer. Right now all I have is sound through my monitor and you are very, very quiet.
fwiw, this camera angle is much better. I'm sure you were just trying to make sure we all knew you are tall. : )

nice singing, gladius! though i disappointed there no instrumental accompinaiment.
your use of the ceiling in the shot remind me of citizen kane as the first motion picture to show ceilings

Here is one of me with my Gregorian schola, singing the Introitus of a Mass at a church in Shiner, Texas. I'm the one with the thick black-frame glasses, as my avatar suggests, with my back to the camera.

Indeed, Mater...
I would guess we all know some good songs and could sing them well enough. I bet many of us have talents that can (and should) be used to provide innocent enjoyment for our fellows...
Now get singin', people!!!

I was going to post one before, except that (1) what I already have recorded is old and (2) it's very NO-y. But, it's new to CathInfo; and, if Tele can do Morning has Broken, I can throw a NO song or two out there as well.
:guitar: :incense: :guitar:
(sorry, no video, just audio)

I would post a video containing my singing voice...but my singing voice is so horrible that people would probably have nightmares from hearing it.
I think I should stick to posting a regular video. Only problem is, I'm afraid that if I post a video of myself and my good looks, the single women here will throw themselves at me.....just kidding.
:laugh1:

I can't sing even in an average-guy way. Mater wins the contest of the crooners, though. Wow! I am downright haunted by that little ditty, Mater. The way you sing it is somehow both quiet and piercing, intimate and crystalline. It's like your voice went through my skull like a thin, fine blade of ice -- in a good way. Beautiful, and with perfect imperfections.
If someone stood up and warbled that out in church it would be heinous, but your rendition is personal and almost hypnotic. I'm impressed. I know Matthew has a good voice as well, so it's almost a given that your children will be talented vocally.

All I can say is keep them coming! I don't think anyone would appreciate my singing voice, the only talent I might have is my Zumba dancing grandma talent. :dancing-banana:
KEEP THEM COMING, these videos, I for one love them.

I'll post an intro, but I'm not going to even bother with this one. I can't sing, and I doubt yall want to hear me singing anything along the lines of Slipknot with metal growls ( :laugh1:). I lost my singing voice when I was about 14.
