Here are some more goldies from FE:
We trust in Gods mercy for our little ones. Only those who have never had their own die before birth, and hold them dead in their arms could so coldly say that they go to hell[limbo]. That goes for theologians too. Call me a Neotard or whatever you like, but I like the CCC's passages about infant death. We trust in Gods mercy. God is not an asshole.
I like how this person can only believe in the God which they can conceptualize. Its just more American style Christianity-I believe what I want to believe. The liberty of conscience leads straight to hell.
And one more thing, its true that God is not an asshole, but unfortunately Adam and Eve were.
I'm with you mamalove. I don't believe God would send an innocent baby to hell or deny them the Beatific vision, when they never even had the OPPORTUNITY to be baptized. Holding my little baby in my hand (she was 20 weeks), I can only trust in God's mercy.
Notice the Protestantism in this one as well as the Rights of Man undertones. The mentor of St. Pius X, Cardinal Pie, once said that man is born with both a right to death and a right to hell.
Its amazing how all of these people are saying that non-Christians can go to heaven, because they live decent moral lives or that they live the beatitudes. Have they not heard of natural virtue? Pelagianism still lives.
