  • The above was taken from http://www.opednews.com/articles/Monsanto-s-dream-bill-HR-by-Linn-Cohen-Cole-090309-337.html

I personally don't buy organic food because of the cost, but I think it is an outrage that the powers that be are creating a situation where it is inevitable that all of our food sources will be tainted with GM foods, not to mention a bill that altogether leaves the public without a choice in the matter.  It seems like they are working on taking away a right so fundamental to mere physical human existence: what we are allowed to feed ourselves and our children.  It's like a crazy conspiracy movie that one would see - is this actually happening without hearing a peep out of the mainstream media about it?  Pathetic!  Like I said I don't buy organic food, but everytime I go down the cereal aisle I longingly and happily contemplate buying that expensive box of organic granola - it is very disturbing to me to think that I won't even have the option of contemplating it if this bill passes.  Down with Monsanto!
