  • Is there any nation on Earth more hated than the U.S.?  This country so truly blessed by God in so many ways;  yet it has turned its back on the Creator to such a degree that it has become for the most part a part of the City of Man so famously described by St. Augustine in his classic work The City of God.

  • Although the media would have you believe that we are hated around the word my sister tells me (and she is a globetrotter) that the ordinary person in the street does not hate America.  Most don't even give us a thought.

I think certain populations are stirred up to hate us just for show, and then there are those in war-torn countries who DO have a legitimate reason to hate our government for fomenting violence in their own countries (proxy wars).

These 2 groups are loud and get a lot of airtime so we are manipulated into believing we are universally hated around the world, but I don't believe it.

    Good points that you make!

Nevertheless, considering the degree of war and destruction the U.S. rains down on other countries, both physically through military interventions/occupations and spiritually by spreading moral filth (i.e., Hollywood movies, porn, contraception, abortion, etc.) along with our troops using various other countries as brothels, perhaps a more appropriate question would be whether the U.S. should be the most hated country in the world?

  • It is true that our institutions have polluted the entire planet in more ways than one,  but we American's (as individual people) have been victimized just as much as any other country.  The force of evil is bigger than any one country, the US just happens to be satan's tool of choice right now.

I have no solution to offer other than to encourage everyone, everywhere to stand up to evil in all it's forms.

    Agree and disagree!

We Americans certainly have been victimized, but I think many of us have to a greater or lesser extent willingly cooperated to a much greater degree in our own victimization.

I think it is quite possible that spiritually and morally we as Americans may be greater victims of our own institutions than people of other nations have suffered from our institutions,  yet I am at a loss as to imagine how we as a nation could be considered as victimized materially in terms of death and destruction by our military institution as much as say countries like Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Afghanistan.
