  • I received this in my e-mail today. Is this the specter of Impygate continuing to hover over FishKill? (And lest I be accused of being uncharitable, I want that forum to die because of the un-Catholic things that are allowed to be posted there.)

    --------------------------

Hi, all you "Fishies" out there! I hope that everyone who reads this is doing well and growing ever and ever closer to Jesus!

I write with a plea, though:  we've lost the main advertiser here at FishEaters, and it's all pretty financially devastating. The income amounted to "only" $200/month, but to me, that's a huge amount of money -- the difference between existing on the internet or not (at least when it comes to the discussion forum).

We really need to make up that $200/month loss, and to do so in a way that the made-up income is something that can be counted on. In other words, subscriptions are key here.  If you're not already a subscriber, please, if you're able, consider subscribing to FishEaters, offering a monthly donation. Or if you do subscribe (thank you!) and could bump up what you already give by even a little, that might make all the difference when everything's added up!

"Just" fifty $4/month subscribers would make up for the loss, right on the nose. Or "only" seventeen $12/month subscribers would do it. Even $2/month counts! Two subscribers at that level of donation equals one $4 donation, right? It all "goes into the pile" and starts to add up!

And, as always, to all the folks out there who are also "poverty line people" like me, if you simply can't] afford to give, it's OK! Please don't feel bad for being broke. A lot of folks are in that same boat these days, myself included. I "get" it, and I know full well the story of "The Widow's Mite." Even your desire to help out is beautiful and appreciated -- as would be a prayer from you for the "FishEaters cause"!

To subscribe, to give a one-time donation, or to read about other ways to help FE, please see this page: http://www.fisheaters.com...

    Thanks, everyone, and God bless!

    In Him,

    Tracy

"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

  • One of the beauties of being banned over there.  I'm not on the mailing list.

I was banned also, but I'm still on the list. For some strange reason, I really don't see myself becoming a monthly subscriber.

She still sends you this even though you were banned?  See, if I got this I would have fired off an email making it very clear how I felt...lol.

  • She should just let the forum shut down, but leave the main site up. I like the main site, it's rather concise and informative.

  • Impygate is so . . . 2013.  I don't think that's it.

  • I hope FE remains alive just so the libs all stay over there. The truth bounces right off those people as they gang up on trads who try to speak traditional Catholicism - and the ring leader who stomps hardest on trads is the owner of the forum, whose more interested in promoting human respect weakness at all costs rather than the true faith.
