The following video shows how Dr. White, in 1971, successfully transplanted the head of a monkey onto the body of another monkey. After the operation, the monkey with the new head was conscious but unable to move it's body. Towards the end of the video, Dr. White states, when he met with Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II they both repeatedly encouraged his research of head transplant. I don't know if this is true or not because doesn't the Church teach that it is morally forbidden to transplant the brain and reproductive organs?
