  • What is the Catholic teaching on the pursue of money?

Is it sinful to worry and actively pursue monetary richness, even if it is for a noble purpose (Church, family, good works, etc.)

    Thank you!
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • worry is not catholic.  Heaven is where the effort should be.  Let us say that you are into stocks and bonds and such.  Just know this, no one in their right mind would put their money where it does not make money.  So, you put your money where it makes money. what makes big bucks?  War, contraceptives, abortion porn and such.  Unless you do your homework, you may not know that major banks, grocery stores, car dealerships put their money to make money in abortion.  You can pick up a box of Kelloggs corn flakes and support abortion.  Stocks and bonds are not the catholic way to go.

Now you could invent something and hit it big, like the hole in the baby bottle.  In the news is a man who makes TIKI poles to hold towels at the pool side.  He can't keep up!

  • Beyond the basic needs in life, money gives you options. More choices.

  • In your pursuit of money you have to obey the ten commandments. Remember the golden rule. You should love God more than ou love money. Remember what Jesus said, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?"
