  • If it has USSCB, Pope, Francis, Modernist, or Jorge in the title, it almost certainly goes in "Crisis in the Church"
Anything about any conspiracy (Jєωs, Freemasons) or errors common to the modern world (Abortion, etc.) go in "Fighting Errors in the Modern World"
Anything dealing with Trad Catholics living their daily lives in this wicked world -- esp. Catholic culture, lifestyle, raising a family, schooling, it goes in "Catholics Living in the Modern World"

DO NOT JUST LAZY-POST EVERYTHING IN GENERAL.

And unless you really want to tick me off (which isn't wise, I have the ban hammer), don't even start with "Well, I post it in General because it's important and/or I want the maximum number of people to see my post!"

YOU AND EVERYBODY ELSE. By that logic, we should all just post in General 100% of the time, and none of us will be able to find anything!

First of all, the posts appear in the "Recent Posts" section of the homepage, and the "Recent Topics" page, regardless of what subforum they were posted in. So that's an ignorant excuse.

Secondly, if you're afraid that those who aren't into politics won't click on your political post if you post it in "Politics and World Leaders", guess what? THEY DON'T WANT TO READ YOUR POST. And they aren't going to click on it, even if you post it in General. You can't force them. Ditto for posts about the Crisis. I'm looking at you, sedevacantists.

Please observe the subcategories. If you have a question, please take a few minutes to read the descriptions of each sub-forum. If you have any questions, please ask me.

P.S. I'm sure that some topics could go into 2 different categories -- for example, Modernism could go in "Crisis in the Church" or "Fighting Errors in the Modern World". You know what? I'm not going to nit-pick. Just do your best, and pick one. JUST DON'T PICK GENERAL more often than not.

  • I'm looking at you, sedevacantists.

This CathInfo member, who's most likely considered (ahem!) a " sedevacantist", has reacted to waaay tooo many posts here in CathInfo by itching to chastize those off-category postings via replies of my own, like "Why in Hades did you post in this category which is obviously the wrong category?

But I have no moderator-granted standing to set myself above other members in that confrontational manner.

I think that should be a simple matter of common sense.  It just ain't that difficult.

Ummm, you do recognize that there are at least 2 categories whose distinction you've rather thinly sliced, don't you?
    • "Crisis in the Church" vs. "SSPX Resistance News"; and
    •  "Fighting Errors in the Modern World" and "Catholic Living in the Modern World".

But it should be easy to see that postings on "Pope Francis" and "his latest outrage", when not focused on, or having nothing to do with SSPX, plainly belong in "Crisis [...]", where it can be seen by all readers, not only those who are adherents of SSPX.  Yet for some reason exactly that specific miscategorization has recently become relatively common in CathInfo.
