  • Regarding the IA forum, I do hope Clare continues as moderator. Regarding topics etc etc, people usually read the most important.

To give an example there is a Children's 'Rights' referendum in Ireland and family campaigners have come to life. They don't do anything for the rest of the year. Once the campaign is over, it is back to hibernation. Others in Ireland are trying to establish a Tea Party movement.

I suppose moderating a forum depends of what interests people.  There as been bickering regarding the agreement with Rome but the majority are anti-That is what matters.

People have different interests or ways of doing things. To be honest people come together for an annual rally against abortion each year but do their own thing for the rest of the year.

Fora like Cath Info/IA are useful for little snippets but the main work is off line.

I noticed a Naomh Bríd posts about abortion but hasn't given an opinion on the 'h0Ɩ0cαųst', the latest regarding Bishop Williamson, the deal with Rome. Just an example.Perhaps a single issue type of activist.I have no issue with that and to be fair the single issue activists never hinder others in the struggle, who take another approach.

If I were Clare, I wouldn't get worked up about things. People will do their own thing.

  • I will cite an example. A few days ago I received a message about a pro-life meeting from somebody I didn't hear from in months and has done nothing for our politics yet assume we will attend their meetings at jump of a hat. It does annoy me.They never seem to get the wider picture and struggle.Count me out of their Christian Democracy Tea Party.

A positive though is a man new on the scene has no interest in mainstream politics and looking beyond the sham of the left v right politics. I will try upload his video. He has no interest in political parties or the sham of parliamentary democracy.

  • i expect I am just missing something, but why is there a tread about moderating on IA here?
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir
