In Sunday sermon, Minnesota priest called Muslim immigrants a threat.

After City Pages published an article about the sermon Wednesday, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Minnesota) issued a statement condemning VanDenBroeke's remarks and seeking a response from the Minnesota Catholic Conference, the public policy voice of the state's six dioceses.

Archbishop Bernard Hebda of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, [stated] "I can assure you, however, that the teaching of the Catholic Church is clear," Hebda said. "As Pope Benedict XVI noted, 'The Catholic Church, in fidelity to the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, looks with esteem to Muslims, who worship God above all by prayer, almsgiving and fasting, revere Jesus as a prophet while not acknowledging his divinity, and honor Mary, his Virgin Mother.'["]

Note two things.

First, how quickly CAIR comes out with its statement condemning what was said during a Holy Mass sermon essentially open to all.  Consider the irony that most (read: all) mosques will not let any 'infidels' admission on premises, let alone listen to their imams, so no corollary exists for anyone to make a similar claim against CAIR.

Second, the effeminate response of the Archbishop.  I will go out on a limb and predict that the this priest is basically toast.  Adios, padre. Meanwhile, in the same archdiocese, the Archbishop has done absolutely nothing to the priest who allowed the scandal of providing the pulpit to ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ partners.

Glad to see a courageous Catholic priest.  
These moslems are dangerous in many ways.  Most hate us and want to harm us.  They want to convert us to their false god.  As we close down our churches thanks to sodomites, they are building the mosques near major highways next to colleges and schools.  The sodomites allow them to have special pray spaces in Catholic schools and colleges to worship their false god and to recruit nitwit weak minded Catholics.

So it's no longer called a sermon even in the salt-of-the-earth Midwest U.S.A.  Vatican II, I suppose.

Well, that's just another example of typical behavior by CAIR: Bully when that will get their way, cry & whine like wounded children when they're not in a position to bully.  But do it quickly,  and make sure that the news media not only carries the complaints by CAIR, but also reports the complaints uncritically--if not sympathetically.  There should really be no doubt that the root purpose of CAIR is to subvert Christianity in the U.S.A. (and Canada?), by engaging in perverse abuse of U.S. protections for religious freedom.

The principle "speak truth to power"--or at least to one's own parishoners--is profoundly unwelcome in the Novus Ordo hierarchy, especially during the "Francis" regime.  Yet the mere priest has dared to reveal himself publicly to be declining to bow down to Nostra Aetate ("In Our Times"), which is the fundamental Vatican-II docuмent that promotes the "oecuмenism" heresy.  Indeed, public rejection of the hierarchy's interpretation of Novus Ordo heretical dogma should be expected to be "career-limiting" as a minimum.

How could the Church look at the Muslims with "esteem" when they don't believe in the same God as us at all?

Islam sees the Trinity as complete polytheism. It would be incredulous for any of them to that Allah is one God in three persons. I've asked a Muslim and they agree, by the way.

They believe he's an important figure, but Muhammad is their only prophet.

So you recognized that to hate Jesus is to contradict the Islamic religion.
