  • This would be caught by simply READING the headline -- nevermind carefully proofreading it.

    Millions of eyeballs, billions of dollars, one of the largest media companies in the world -- and a dumb yet extremely visible typo like this survives?

    At the risk of sounding conspiratorial, could it have been purposeful?  For what reason, I do not know, but I'll bet Ascent or Director could come up with a good theory.

    I notice spelling mistakes all the time in the mainstream press and political communications, but this is prominent - major news outlet with a major news headline of a major corporation, not some misspelling on page 2 of the report.

    (Interestingly, "Chervon" is a Chinese company)
