  • Here is what someone said about the Michael Jackson coverage (via e-mail). I thought he had some good points, and he taught me a few things I didn't know (since I didn't watch the coverage)

Did you see all the news coverage about "SAINT" Michael Jackson?
And for those of you who are FOX NEWS fans, did you notice that they also had saturation coverage?
If it's not bad enough that they are venerating this cheap crude rock star who also happened to be a criminal, drug addict, pervert and child molestor...
Even going so far as to say some things like almighty God called him to HEAVEN, of all things...
What stands out the most in all of this was the centerpiece of this memorial service...
Which turned out not to be about the rock star but the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr and another huge denial of the truth!
    -
A performance of WE ARE THE WORLD...
The ultimate propoganda piece for the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr.
Have you ever seen or heard the lyrics for this "masterpiece" ?
    -
But this time it was broadcast live around the world complete with slick video backgrounds,
The most striking of which was the display of all the symbols of all the major religions of the world, slowly melting away as the grand "hymn" to Satan played on...
Leaving just we the people, meaning we the people of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr, where Satan (not Jesus Christ) is Lord!
    -
But there' s more.  As the religious symbols started to fade away during the music...
Guess which one faded away FIRST?
    Right!   Exactly right!
    The Christian Cross!    Coinicidence?   Hardly!

  • I have a question, maybe someone could help me answer it:

Is there a place in the Bible where God changes stones into bread?

I could be wrong, maybe it happened in the Old Testament...

But I'm certain Our Lord never did such a thing -- on the contrary, that is how the devil tempted him, and Our Lord rejected the temptation.

(I ask because one of the lyrics to "We are the World" contains the phrase: "As God has shown us, by turning stone to bread...")

  • The only time I can think of when stone was turned into something is when the Israelites were 40 years God would give them water every time Moses struck a rock with his stick. The bread they received fell from Heaven every day. Maybe they got the two mixed up in the lyrics.

  • Possibly the lyrics are also getting mixed up with the bit in Luke 11 where Our Lord says " And which of you, if he ask his father bread, will he give him a stone?"

Or more likely, as someone said, it is a perversion of the temptation/triumph of Christ in the desert.

  • I don't see anything wrong with the lyrics of "We are the World". The corporal works of mercy is to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, etc... Mother Teresa helped the poor because she was doing what Jesus wanted us to do - acts of charity for neighbor. The world will become better if we have help each in Christian charity.

You don't know if Michael was a molester or not. He was aquitted of the charges. The fact that both cases the parents sought a pay off makes it suspicious that the accusations were for real. When you are rich you will always find people who want to slander you out of jealousy or seek ways of getting money out of you.

  • Oh, please.  Jackson had numerous operations to make his face become a girl, and his public performances were all about simulating self-abuse.

Jackson isn't really something which should ever be seen or talked about publicly.  I am truly sorry my kids even had to know he existed by looking at the grotesque photos.

    Yuk.

  • I am currently studying abuse in my Master's classes in college and 99 percent of children that say they have been abused HAVE been sɛҳuąƖly abused. Most children that have been abused in that grotesque manner keep it to themselves and do not report it. The number of cases of sɛҳuąƖ abuse that I have seen in children nowadays in the profession that I am going into would make "complacent" people rip their eyes out. It is far more common than people realize in our modern world sadly. I pray for the chastisement daily.

  • I wonder what Jackson's child thinks about having been dangled out over a balcony in Germany.

Maybe Alex could pray for the children corrupted by Jackson.

My husband and I have abuse training...the dynamics and problems leading up to this behavior are sadly ignored by many trad clergy.  People simply don't want to deal with it.

Good luck with your degree.  You will work with the poorest of the poor.  Mark Fellows, authour of 'Fatima in Twilight' and another work (can't remember because I havn't read it) works in the field.

  • I have seen mothers look the other way and ignore the fact that their boyfriends and husbands routinely rape their daughters. People will go out of their way to ignore and cover up this greatest of evils. Anyone who is complicit in the coverup of the molestation of any child should be hung until dead. They would of course recieve last rights and final confession before the government hung them.

  • In college, I coulde not believe the amount of women that I met as friends that told me that they had been molested as children by relatives, family friends, ect. Our society is sick and getting sicker. I come from a close knit family that sheltered me from many of the worlds evils so the above was quite the eye opener.

  • Just because child abuse is more common than we think, it does not mean that MJ did it himself. Where is your proof? Apparently, the jurers didn't have any proof to convict yet you want to make a judgement having seen none of the facts.

Yes, most child abuse cases go unreported, but I still think there still should have been more children coming forward with allegations against MJ. They didn't seem to be a problem with acusers coming forward for the priests who were molesters.

  • MJ had many problems but I don't but the pedophile allegations. Those allegations reeked of a money grab to me. Anyway, I said a prayer for his soul and that's that. All this coverage and glorification of a deeply flawed individual is perverse.

Oh Really? Who told you this? The only ones the media reported were the two who brought forth allegations.
