  • He's probably the most high profile Traditional Catholic known to the general public.  What is your analysis of the man?  It looked like he had it all:  beautiful family, wealth, the Faith.  Then he left his wife for another woman and broke his family apart.  What went wrong for the man?

  • You actually describe it well. He had it all. But I guess it wasn't enough?

    So you mean greed?

One might think God's grace would have protected him from that.

The same that has been the undoing of many men in his position: Sin .

It did, as long as he allowed it to.

If a man wants to sin badly enough, God will not stop him.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • A friend knows him and has related that Mel Gibson is ALL the good things folks know about him, and then some, in person. The acting profession is rife with "personality disorders" and substance abuse - the most deadly of which is the narcotic of "fame" itself - to say nothing of the levels of material and sensual temptation about which very few will ever know, let alone have to contend, Deo gratias!

It is my understanding that Mel is a severe alcoholic. Mr. van Dyke managed to overcome it, while William Holden, one of the top actors in Hollywood for many years, also managed to stay dry for a very, very long time until, one night - just one time - he didn't.

It was his last night on earth. Poor man.

Let's continue praying, and hard, that the man who gave us some of the very best films made in the past half century is someday, like Mr. van Dyke, still doing the occasional guest shot on talk shows, reconciled to the Church by way of the sacraments, and has done all he could to make amends to the family that loves him.

And, likewise for the defrocked John Corapi...

He should NEVER have been allowed in a seminary, let alone ordained by John Paul II - but WHAT a story it made, right? Again, severe addiction coupled with a charismatic personality and the result is a lethal, scandalous spectacle.

Again, keeping these men in our prayers, regularly, may make all the difference for them the next time temptation strikes - and it will.

And, likewise for the defrocked John Corapi...

Sickening how the Novus Queerdo church removes John Corapi from faculties based on accusations from a harlot, and subsequently defrocks him, all without due process, but the same Novus Queerdo church goes out of its way to protect pervert ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs and pedophiles; and does nothing to reprimand heretical and apostate Bishops and priests.

Despite John Corapi being a Conciliarist, he still promoted our Blessed Mother and lead people to her more than most people, including traditionalists. Satan hated this fact, therefore, he used his minions in Rome to smear and silence him.
Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war. ~ Psalms 143:1 (Douay-Rheims)

There must be a very large ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ lobby within the Church.

  • Ascent, Corapi was and remains a drug addict who is worth a fortune in cash, real estate and boy toys ( speedboat, hopped up motorcycle ) and is living with a woman in Montana. His religious superior repeatedly asked him to return to the order and he refused.

Bluntly, he's a world-class con man. He bilked Catholics and still has the $$$.

The help he needs is psychiatric, medical and spiritual. Not the misinformed allegiance of his unwitting victims.

Mel is a puppet, the kind of puppet that other celebrities are.

Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Angelina Jolie, Anna Nicole Smith, Lindsay Lohan, Lady Gaga, Kesha,  etc...

All those famous are used to convey a message to a particular segment of society, they "shape" public opinion and influence behavior.

In the case of Mel, the target population that is meant to be deceived are Catholics.

Mel didn't express any interest for Catholicism in a public way for many years, and then one day, out of the blue... He came out as a Super Traditionalist Catholic Icon.

I don't know if anybody else does, but I find it very suspicious.

  • Mel's the real deal, he wouldn't have so many people harrassing him if he wasn't.  He's obviously not perfect but who is? Him pulling off the Passion of the Christ in the middle of Cesspoolwood easily makes up for any of his other shortcomings. How many people were reintroduced to the passion of our Lord through that movie? At least 100 milion people have seen it. Suppose only 1000 of them were converted or returned to the Faith directly or indirectly though the film. Mel has money in the bank both in Heaven and on Earth.

no. in this case he is a movie producer. Movies play a big role in controlling the culture. The culture since the 50s followed hollywood into the sewer.
