  • After several articles that I have read on this site I have come to the conclusion, as have many of you, that this is a false, diabolical apparition. In light of this, what are your thoughts that Cardinal Ratzinger would be the one instrumental in saving this from the banned list that the local Bishops had intended it to go. And, on this trip where many of us have been scandalized yet again, there is supposedly a message from one of the seers who has been proven in my eyes to be worse than a fraud. Does he have enemies in the Vatican? Well, I imagine ones that would not harm him, the alleged "Enemies" are probably right thinking Catholic Bishops.

............In a talk in the U.S., a French nun stationed at Medjugorje recounted that during the early days of that alleged occurrence, there were warnings about the Pope, whom the Virgin reportedly termed her "most beloved son who suffers."

"A few months ago Marija [Pavlovic, one of the six alleged seers] was at my house and we had a private dinner with her," the nun, Sister Emmanuel, recounted some years back. "And casually she was talking about the first days of the apparition. Our Lady had to brief them about the world and she told them you don't know what it is to be without peace because she said you have peace here and it was a village with no ѕυιcιdє, no nervous breakdowns, no divorce, no desperation of youth, these things did not happen at Medjugorje because it was a very faithful village, so they were told all of what was happening in the world and one day Our Lady was speaking to Marija about the Pope, John Paul II, and she said, look, he has many enemies and in the Vatican itself there are people who want to kill him -- not physically, but morally, and they are active against him."

What can be said for sure is that there is a spiritual war out there, and even black masses said against witnesses for Christ, among whom the Pope is the biggest. With bold moves such as Turkey -- and Ephesus -- he needs prayers of protection.

    Enemies in the Vatican?

We'll leave that for your own interpretation.

[Ironically, and perhaps as a further message: it was Benedict, as prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, who saved Medjugorje from a local bishop's condemnation, and the village is composed of Catholics, Orthodox, and Muslims.]

[resources: Sister Emmanuel's most popular book is on purgatory

  • I posted this on FE.  I thought someone would surely respond sincee it is true that many on that board are the ones that clued me in on this farce of an apparition. I thought Trinity might find it interesting for sure. Especially since there is sooooo much proof that it is not a real Marian apparition and then who pulls it out and lends credence? None other than Ratzinger. I think as bad as JPII Magnus Magnus was he was nothing compared to what this one has done in one year.

  • I didn't know Medjugorje was questionable until I got on FE.  I haven't followed it at all through the years, just picked up bits and pieces here and there.  To this day I don't know why it is considered diabolical, but I would like to know what the local bishops said.  I would really like to know that.  I think that normally the pope does NOT interfere with bishops' decisions in such matters.

As for B XVI, I have had an aversion to him from the get go.  At no point have I felt or considered him our pope.  None of his words or works have changed that.

  • Thanks much, Dawn.  That was very helpful.  I wasn't surprised about Garabandal, but found it interesting that this author thinks it is an aping of Fatima.  That is so....satan.  I'm putting an excerpt from this up for Veritatis to dissect.

I have been suckered into saying the Lady of all Nations prayer for years now.  Am I in trouble?  I also believed in the fifth dogma.  Man, this is a wicked and dangerous world.

Big question:  What about Sr. Faustina and Divine Mercy Sunday???
