It is never a bad thing to switch it up. One of my old colleagues that I sang with in university decided to forgo teaching in favor of flight school. Just got hired as a first officer with a major airline recently.

I'd switch if I could myself ... but I'm closing in on 60, and I'm not sure I'd have the physical stamina to keep up with the demands of the job, nor do I believe they would accept me ... for that very reason.

Prayers for you and this new endeavor. It sounds like it will be an interesting path to take. Godspeed.

You may be right, but how do you expect to grow, or even maintain strength & health if you never push yourself to and even past your limit. Your limit might not be hard to reach, but you have to start somewhere. 'Use it or lose it', as they say. A little progress each week starts to add up, and in 2 years, you could have much better stamina than you ever could have imagined.
