  • I recently gave a Mass stipend to have a Mass offered for a co worker of mine. I did it without telling her about it. What type of effect would a Mass offered for a living person have on the person for whom Mass is offered?

  • Wouldn't that depend on what the intention of the Mass was for?
In the Novus Ordo and now in tradition I'm seeing "For So and So's intention"
Well I'm sure you didn't mean for her intention as she didn't know about it.
Only time will tell if there is any effect..  I'd assume some sort of grace but then it would depend on her co-operating with that grace.
