So my husband brought up some really good points from this article:
1) Bye bye birthrate already abysmal in Spain.
2) Goodbye marriage in Spain.
3) Hello huge uptick in divorce rates in Spain.
4) Question: Are the women going to be forced to work outside the home now? Somehow, I doubt it.
5) 19% of Spanish men thought it was right for mothers of school age children to have a full-time job. (WATCH THIS NUMBER GO UP REALLY FAST!)
"I don't like the new law at all," says Patricia, a schoolteacher. "I love macho men. They are more masculine and I don't care about doing some housework."
:rahrah:
This is what I would have said.
My husband takes out the recycles and the garbage, lifts heavy things for me, and lately, has been doing things I usually do out of the kindness of his heart (and my change of attitude .) Don't need some stupid feminαzι law attempting to force men to do this kind of thing.
Besides, the most basic thing that people reading the latest posts on feminism on this forum should realize by now is this: YOU CANNOT CHANGE A MAN BY ATTEMPTING TO FORCE HIM TO DO SOMETHING. HE HOLDS HIS FREEDOM AS HIS PRIZED POSSESSION, AND WILL FIGHT YOU TO THE END TO MAINTAIN IT.
