I think that Brazil should be a slightly darker color. The great masse of people here don't know how to stop at a stop sign or cover their mouths when they cough. I do not exagerrate. I am fairly certain that intelligence is a factor, especially in light of other circuмstances.

This "imagination deficit" might apply to most Asian countries, whose economies are based on the pirating of Western technology and products.

Who cares if there's "pirating." Doesn't everyone have a right to an education (i.e., a right to knowledge)?

I doubt it. Without addressing whether that's a good or bad thing (irrelevant), there are a number of reasons for this.

For one thing, native-born Americans (especially white Americans, those of European descent) aren't reproducing at replacement levels. Population increases are due to immigration, and first-generation immigrants whose culture still encourages large families. These people are largely Hispanic, but an emerging subset are Arab -- specifically Mohammedan Arabs.

As Matthew noted above, Arab nations aren't exactly among the smartest in the world. I wouldn't suggest that it's genetic, although it could be. It's certainly due in good measure to a culture -- a religion, let's be honest -- that oppressively crushes any form of independent thinking, let alone outright creativity. Mohammedans simply aren't allowed to do any intellectual exercise. Since they are reproducing well above replacement levels (3.1 globally; I can't find figures for the U.S.), it follows by extrapolation that in 50 years, as you suggested, the American ethnic profile will likely lean in their favor.

What about those non-Mohammedan Americans of European descent? They're reproducing at a rate of only about 1.8 (according to Pew), a solid three points below replacement value when factoring for infant mortality. This is simply what 40 years of Roe v Wade and a contraceptive culture (going back a lot further) have wrought.

Of course, once they reach critical mass, they'll make their power grab, and we won't have elections to worry about. By then (100 years, you say?), the "average IQ" won't matter.

Actually, China, Korea, Japan, and even Taiwan are notorious for importing foreign brides from places like Vietnam and Thailand. The number of Vietnamese girls/women that are shipped overseas to these countries, either as legitimate brides or as sex-slaves/prostitutes is staggering. In places like Korea, there are communities of Vietnamese prostitutes who were forced to leave their husbands because of horrific abuse or outright forced into prostitution. For the members here who laud the Koreans and the Japanese for their so-called "racial purity" - newsflash, these two countries have been importing foreign wives for quite some time.

No offense, Arsenius, but are there any members on CathInfo who have actually said this?

I know the Japanese are quite proud of themselves, and quite racist (I studied Japanese culture quite a bit during the time I studied the Japanese language) but I haven't heard that view promoted on CathInfo.

Maybe it's a thread I missed.

There have been a few members here who have praised the Koreans and the Japanese for preserving their race/culture/whatever. Graham, TraditionalGuy20, etc. A search through the archives might bring up a few posts here and there. I don't think there has been a thread devoted specifically to this topic.
