That's great that you got to make a good confession.

I confessed going to non catholic services ( as part of my rejection of the novus ordo, even though he is in the novus ordo himself.) God knew what I meant.

What do you do when there is no priest around?  Perfect contrition.  Japan was without sacraments for 350 years.  So, we do what we can do.

I have, Deo Gratias, found a VOP (validly ordained priest).
He was ordained in the 1950s. I made a general confession of everything I could remember and feel so much better now.

But, alas, he will not be alive in 10-20 years probably,
what do I do when the inevietable happens?
Most of the tridentine ordained priests are very elderly, except for SSPX I think - and I do not live near the sspx.
I do not feel secure if I just say the act of contrition.

In ten or twenty years, I expect you can manage to move somewhere else if it is  that important to you.

:smile:Great news!  Don't worry about 10 years from now.  Think about where you were that long ago.  If someone had told you then where you'd be in 10 years, would you have believed them?  Just walk with God, day by day.  Hint:  Read St. Matthew 6:25 - 34.  Do look up Fr. D.H. in the US.

I recommend that you place yourself into the mercy and providence of God.
