  • How ironic -- so his son could have health coverage, the man gives up his life in Afghanistan (which is a war about keeping Afghanistan safe for opium farming and/or oil pipelines -- how noble)

What a bunch of propaganda though --

If only Obama's healthcare plan had passed, this man's life wouldn't have been lost! OOOooo...

  • Insurance for himself or for his family?

Obviously it's not a good reason to join the Army.

Medical treatment's going to become less available over time, whether you can pay or not.

  • His family. Their are very few options anymore for insurance for a family family unless you work for the government in some capacity. The military has some of the best coverage nowadays which is sad.

  • It is a good reason if someone in his family has a "pre-existing" condition and would otherwise not get health insurance.

  • I have seen families bankrupted and destroyed due to medical bills.

Now you're speaking my language, Matthew.

Also to sell weapons and drugs.  Any theater of chaos is very lucrative.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • In Roman times, the legions made Gaul and parts of Germania safe for bankers just as our legions do today!
