  • Thank you, roscoe, for letting us know. You know, I remember thinking about the moon and about the Lord. I may have mentioned this on Cathinfo awhile back, but I remember noticing how the moon has its new and full phases as analogous to the divine and human natures of Christ. Plus, the moon resembles a white Host. Also, I remember learning from someone how you can sort of try to make out in the moon the figure of Jesus giving Holy Communion to a child. It seems the Lord God gave indeed a great symbol from the beginnings of creation of Who was to come to redeem mankind.

  • Unless I am mistaken, Judaics and Moslems both calculate their calendars by the cycles of the Moon while Christians( and even the pre-christian Julian calendar) use the cycles of the Sun.

I have not heard the analogy of the moon and Jesus before: is there anyone in the history of the Church that you got that from?

And if it does, will it have an effect on our daily lives?
