  • Is there anyone here from France who can confirm the extent of the damage?

    from another site:

    Quote
Rampaging floods submerged Our Lady's Shrine at Lourdes, France, on June 20, 2013, wreaking devastation upon Lourdes and its famous pilgrimage site, which now faces ruin. Inundated were the Lourdes Grotto, where Our Lady appeared, and the healing pools were washed away. This is the second time in six months that Our Lady's Shrine has been devastated. On this second occasion melting snow has added to the weight of the flood waters and made this week’s deluge even more destructive than in October 2012.

  • Google it. It's severely damaged. I guess Our Lady is not impressed with the church either.

    Why would she be.

If the Fatima's Secrets are correct, I'm sure the BVM is quite displeased with Rome these days.

Just like when lighting stuck St Peter's twice in the Vatican the day Benedict announced his "resignation".

  • Actually, Lourdes has been flooded out twice in the recent past.  The first time was on the day a relic of John Paul 2 was supposed to arrive in the city and be put on public display.  This second flooding was on the day the Vatican announced that they have confirmed a miracle that would clear the way for John Paul 2's canonization [in the Conciliar church].

I certainly hope there are not too many more John Paul 2 items on the agenda.  I don't think the people of Lourdes can take too much more of him.
