I thought it interesting since there is a prophesy about a comet to strike the earth in the end times in one of those prophesy books, If this is it, Alexandria, I'm not getting out of bed either, except to go under it. OUCH!

You speak of Nibiru Doom. It doesn't actually strike earth, but comes so close it throws us off our axis and orbit causing the three days of darkness. As it passes the sun it cause it to do bad things, too. If this is Nibiru Doom, things will soon go bad.

What I thought was so very awesome about Hale Bop, the name. It was named after the two amatures who discovered it, and I thought it was a perfect name for a comet.

I had a thought yesterday. The crisis in the Church has often been compared to the Crucifixion, except in this case it is the Bride of Christ being crucified... Well, what happened at the end of the Crucifixion, after Christ had died? The sky darkened -- Three Days of Darkness. It's a perfect parallel. And then there was a massive earthquake.

Therefore, it is an earthquake or series of earthquakes that will signal the beginning of the end. If a comet is involved it is probably a harbinger of all this. Comets were considered bad omens in the Middle Ages.

The Catholic Restoration / Great Monarch era apparently parallels Christ's brief Resurrection.

I don't think this comet is anything though. I stand by my prediction that the Three Days of Darkness will be in 2017. Until then God will probably move slow to give people a chance to repent; it will be almost impossible to ignore, even for the most ostrich-like, that the worldwide economic system is failing.

Yes, earthquake will be among the bad happenings. I think it is reasonable to expect Christ's return to be like His leaving.

Wow! I have to read that again. So many happy thoughts, esp. about time and eternity and infinity. Alexandria used the phrase, eternal present, which I find very interesting. Must explore this further.

At the beginning it states we don't know where to place heaven. I have some ideas.

Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is here with us now. The string theory of quantum physics surmises that all things are next to all things. When Jesus appears in an apparition He may do so as a man, a boy, or an infant. Time and space do strange things when near a black hole. When we die we leave time and enter eternity. But all time is present in eternity. Will my memories of long, long ago celebrations be present? May I revisit them in person?

I love that line: My soul leaps with a divine enthusiasm.

Considering that the angels in heaven and Adam and Eve in paradise betrayed God, perhaps it is easier to see why he tests us so strongly.
