  • This is great but I just recieved my magic jack and I thought Id pick an american phone number (cost extra for a canadian one) Now I thought well if there are any americans that  Id love to chat and connect with it would be in Kansas which seems to me the capital of      Traditional Catholic Communities. So Im local to a place called LAWERENCE.

For those of you who would like to connect to a canadian catholic family I have no qualms about sharing my magic jack phone number which would be local to you.

So strange to have an american phone number and live in northern canada???

Some might wonder why I am I doing this? Well I think catholic community is great Im thankful for this forum but its neat to have a personal relationship with just a few of you.

This forum allows for alot of interaction but I find Im relating to handles. Nicknames online without the personal touch you would find in a church community which at this point in time is almost impossible for us.

I will try to be prudent of course as I know all to often the word Catholic or even Christian for that matter doesnt guarantee some sort of human perfection. Being the internet and being this day in age there are unfortunatley alot of very Strange people.

For me I get quite excited if you have a sincere desire (1st rule in catechism) to know love and serve God. Enjoy the council of trent catechism, prefer the TLM, practise the rosary, love gregorian chant and want to simpify your life and live humbly and modestly.

Then I guess we could get along. If you dont do or like any of the above I still can get along but would have nothing of much value to talk about my brain usually draws a blank and I revert to the weather and recent news.

    Tis how God made me!!!!!

  • I used to live not 30 minutes from Lawrence just a few months ago! I still live in Kansas, but further west.

At any rate, talking to you on the phone would fun, I'm sure, as I've enjoyed talking to you on here. :)

  • Just trying to fiqure out how to use magic jack via my cordless phone then Im in business. Sure Id love to connect anyone who loves those 4 legged fuzzy's gotta be nice :cowboy:

We have been trad catholics for 10yrs but our friends just converted so its only been 1yr for them but its so neat to see their expressions. New trad catholics get so excited when they see the light. They get even more excited when they realize they are not the ONLY ones.

Unfortunately the NO's are the majority so when your constantly surronded by them it really feels like an alien planet even amongst catholics. Thats why even after so long I get sooo excited to correspond with other REAL catholics.

Its not just the religious aspect but LIFE in general each topic is affected by our Catholic Teaching. Food, fashion, media, education it all gets affected.

  • Don't forget about Skype.  It is free and you can "video call" anywhere in the world.  I have a friend who goes to the Philippines every summer and we "visit" via Skype while she is gone.

  • True! I would need to get a microphone for that, though. And a video thing, but that wouldn't be neccessary.
