  • If you google "Living Vatican II:  Reflections Upon Traditional Catholicism" you should have the link to my new blog. I have only two blogs on it so far and I am concentrating on engaging a Novus Ordo Watch article on Suor Christina, the Italina Ursiline who entered the Voice of Italy talent show.

I think the address of my blog is:

    bruceaferguson.wordpress.com

    Hope to see you there.

  • First off, a Traditional Catholic cannot live Vatican 2 because it would be a
    contradiction.
The reason we live a Traditional Catholic Life is to avoid the reflections
of Vatican 2 which is a actually a new religion born in 1965.

Good reflections RomanCatholic1953..I agree it would be a contradiction from your perspective as a Traditional Catholic.

My perspective for the blog though is as a Novus Ordo Catholic...is to review our church today in light of Traditional Catholic thinking.  That is the purpose of my blog.

What that allows though is a place to point out our differences as well as identify what we agree upon.  So feel free to respond and/or get a blog on your own from "wordpress.com" but you have to invite me to respond to you too :)

    Thanks for your words RC53.

Yes, of course.  That is the biggest secret held on CathoInfo :)   Thanks for the question songbird.

I have a great respect for Traditional Catholics because I see a great value in the beliefs held by the TC community; it allows us another lens to review what we believe and learn in the Novus Ordo church.

The purpose of my blog is to bring the dialogue from Vatican and SPX officials to us, the regular catholic, as it is our church too.  I want to see grass roots discussions between our two communities.

I honour the sincerety and heart felt positions and if we stop looking at each other as "them" and start seeing us as humans and "we", maybe we can find better ways to come to grip with the challenges Jesus himself left us with.

    All the best.

  • Community?  Not the Church of Christ?  You do not refer to yourself in anyway to the Mystical Body of Christ?  You do not wish to speak powers of the Precious Blood?  The not only do you waste your time, you lose your soul.

Songbird, relax.  I am not a formal person, I apologize if the word "community" offended you.  I am very comfortable with the mystical body of Christ, of course not.  I don't know how you can read inside my soul and come up with the conclusion that I do not speak of the Precious Blood, you don't know me... so you gotta admit there might be a bit of jumping to conclusions.  I will challenge you a bit and suggest that not everyone who does not use the same words as you, nor appraoch things in your style will loose their soul.

I wish a conversation with you.. I don't wish to "out-Catholic" you.. I wish to learn from you and your thoughts.  I honor the strong relationship and the integrity of your prayer life with our Lord (I know that is an assumption on my part...but it is an assumption that lifts you up).
