  • they are some people whom nobody can ever surpass in goodness holiness etc.

    in my ex-religion they were:
    1-all prophets(we believed they were 124000 ones!)

    2-their parents,grandparents,wives,children,nieces,nephews,
brothers, sisters, aunts, auncles and in laws so long as they were not pagans or didn't cause trouble for those prophets.

3-their first followers, friends, and vicars and representitives.

    4-the supposedly "innocent" 12 imams.

    5--their parents,grandparents,wives,children,nieces,nephews,
brothers, sisters, aunts, auncles,in laws solong as they were not pagans or didn't cause trouble for those imams.
6-their first followers, friends, and vicars and representitives.

and we believed that even if their actions were like our action they had greater merits, for example:I give 10$ alms and that "chosen one" gives 10$ too,but we are not equal in merits.the bitter side of this beliefe:suppose a prophet is not chaste, but an ordinary man is,that prophet is still greater, his body is holier and God loves him morrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre.
in catholism Jesus,Mary,Saint Joseph,12apostles and St.John the baptist are those whom none can surpass is there anyother?
do catholics have such beliefes as those I wrote in the red color?

If you love God more than they did, then yes, it's totally possible. But make sure your goal is not to be as holy as someone else (though I know thats not your intention, Im just pointing this out) a persons goal should be to love God and be as holy as much as one possibly can.

The "Litany of Humility" prayer composed by Rafael Cardinal Merry del Val, the Secretary of State for Pope Saint Pius X, contains the prayer "That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should."   I think that is the best attitude to take.

Here is the full Litany of Humility prayer.

O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, hear me.

From the desire of being esteemed,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being loved,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being extolled,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being honored,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being praised,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being preferred to others,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being consulted,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being approved,  deliver me, Jesus.

From the fear of being humiliated,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being despised,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of suffering rebukes,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being calumniated,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being ridiculed,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being wronged,  deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being suspected,  deliver me, Jesus.

That others may be loved more than I,  Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be esteemed more than I,  Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That in the opinion of the world, others may increase, and I may decrease,  Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be chosen and I set aside,  Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be praised and I unnoticed,  Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be preferred to me in everything,  Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

No, it's not true, Spouse. Our Lady is the holiest creature ever. She surpasses all other human and angelic saints. As she was free of all sin, original and actual, she has the highest perfection and greatest glory of all Saints. She is also the most full of humility- when the angel Gabriel told her she was chosen by God she replied "Behold the Handmaid of the Lord"- not the "queen" or "mother" or "chosen" of the Lord. Although she of all creatures had the greatest reason to think highly of herself, she humbled herself profoundly.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus asked her sister about the difference between levels of holiness and her sister replied by getting a small glass and a big glass and filling them both with water. She pointed out to the Saint that although one was smaller, both were full to their capacity. She used this to illustrate that although some people can never be as holy and perfect as the great Saints, they can still be as holy as they are capable of being.

I don't mean that some people are dealt the wrong cards by God and cannot become holy. What I mean is that none of us can hope to achieve the level of holiness of Our Lady, and probably most of us won't ever reach the level of holiness of great saints such as St. Joseph, St. Theresa of Avilla or St. Thomas Aquinas. Even those Saints who gave their all to God could not become as holy as Our Lady. But what we can do is to become as holy as we are able.

God gives us all sufficient graces to save our souls and become saints. Everyone has the capacity to become holy if they conform themselves to God's Will, but it is a fact that not everyone WILL become holy, because not everyone responds to God's grace. Not everyone wants to change their life and follow Christ on His way of the cross (in fact, very few).
