And while all this was going on, thousands of scantily clad women and
a few men walked down Alameda Blvd. and Broadway St. in the
Chinatown area north of Union Station, Los Angeles, toward a large
field across the street from St. Peter's Catholic Church (the Italian
national 'mecca' of LA outside of San Pedro). But I can't find any news
coverage about it. It wasn't the LA Marathon, either, only because they
were WALKING, not running -- but seriously, they were much less
decently attired than the Marathon runners are wont to be. This was
on All Souls' Day, 2013, November 2nd, in the afternoon about 4-5 pm.

Actually, the shooting was Friday morning, Nov. 1st, and the bizarre
migration of pagan strippers on the other end of town, was on Saturday,
Nov. 2nd in the afternoon.

I should have put this in the post above this but the ink dried.

I found several "Walks" going on in LA yesterday but none of them
were in the area where I'm talking about. One at Warner Center,
in Woodland Hills, one near Griffith Park (about 5 miles north of
the walk I'm referring to), and one in Santa Monica near the Pier.

These 3 locations describe an equilateral triangle with legs 15 miles long
on the map of Los Angeles, and the leg from Warner Center to Santa
Monica crosses over the Santa Monica mountains west of the J. Paul
Getty Museum center and 405 freeway by about 5 miles. IOW they
are far enough apart to be in 3 separate cities most places in the world,
but in LA, it's all populated (except in the mountains, of course).

These events took place the day after the shooting at LAX, and they
had all been coordinated for months in advance of Saturday.

This has nothing to do with the shooting, but it's a little surreal that
they both happened so close together.

It seems they are keeping information regarding how this gunman
could have carried a .223 rifle into the terminal area of the airport.

Like all major and international airports in the USA, the TSA workmen
are all over the place, and they have barricades set up to keep people
from walking from one area to another. To get from the main lobby
area inside the doors from the street, all passengers for flights have
to pass through a screening process that included metal detectors
and x-ray of carry-on baggage. There is no way this guy could have
gone through that with a .223 rifle in a "bag."

Everyone who is not a passenger on a flight, such as family members
or friends of passengers, is absolutely forbidden to walk with the
passenger(s) through the screening area.

Therefore, he must have somehow gone around that screening
process. But to do so, he would have had to have been a TSA
employee, one would think. The reports say he was not one, nor
are they saying that he had somehow impersonated a TSA employee.

Everywhere you go the TSA are staring at you, and they are hyper-
sensitive to anyone doing anything out of the ordinary. The TSA
people are notoriously unfriendly. "Not nice" is an understatement.
I can only imagine how they would have literally crowded around
a man like this if he had tried to sneak around a barricade or go
under some cordoned-off area, different from the other passengers.

By the looks of this story, we might not be told the real method
that he used to penetrate the security system. Just a hunch.

Some reports say he is a TSA or he had on their shirt which would have allowed him to move more freely around.
He didn't get in the line for the flights. He came in & ran up the stairs to the next level where the TSA's stand at the final checkpoint. It all happened very quickly.

The 'bag' was a garment bag.

Neil, where does it say that he took a shuttle bus?!!

It says that he 'was dropped off at the airport'. Meaning that his friend dropped him off at the terminal.

Sorry, I was just thinking of how I go to LAX sometimes. If I had
been there that day I would have been thinking that (shuttle bus).

Anyway, I've heard 3 reports that say the "bag" was not a garment bag
but a DUFFEL bag:

The .223 cal. rifle is a partially KD version and it's quickly re-assembled.
He carried it into the terminal area in the duffel bag, then pulled it out
and stuck the parts together, then started shooting.

And all 3 reports said he was "dropped off" by his room mate at the curb
and walked in alone into the terminal area. His room mate said he had
had no advance request for the ride, nor did he know where the guy
(the shooter) was planning to fly to. It sounds like they had terrible
communication skills!!

When you go from the drop-off curb to the DEPARTURES area, you can
either go to check-in and check luggage and get a boarding pass, or you
can go directly to the queue to be screened, which goes up an escalator.
There are TSA agents below and above the escalator. You can also go
into an elevator or a stairway, but at the second floor you are not allowed
to go to the terminal area because there are barricades set up and
scowling TSA people all around there. If you are handicapped, though,
you can bypass the escalator. For that you generally need a wheelchair
or be using a CANE. I'm thinking maybe this guy had a cane, but they're
not saying that to prevent putting out the idea. He could have just
dropped the cane before he started his shooting spree.

But even when handicapped, you're not allowed to bypass the screening
area unless you're a TSA worker. I'm not seeing any reports that say
he had a TSA shirt or jacket or whatever.

TSA are the antithesis of customer service.

I thought one family was Lutheran (of the pair of Columbine shooters).

I think you are wrong about this.

Dylan Klebold was raised a Lutheran, and received the Lutheran "sacrament" of confirmation. I don't know about Eric hαɾɾιs.

Jared Lee Loughner has variously been described as "anti-Semitic" and "anti-religion" in general. On his U.S. Army application, he refused to state a religion.

I supposed it is possible that they had some Jєωιѕн relatives or ancestors, but that would not necessarily make them "Jєωιѕн."

Well, as it turns out it was neither a garment bag nor a duffel bag but a backpack on top of those suitcases on wheels that had a hole on the bottom of the backpack & the top of the suitcase to hide the gun.

Neil, do you really think that he took an unassembled gun into the terminal (or even just outside the door) & assembled it in front of hundreds of people before starting to shoot??!! How could you possibly believe such a scenario?
