  •   They show people leading impure lives with a picture of Lady of Guadalupe on their walls and lots of rosaries, holy cards etc. around the house. Why?
If there is any hispanic/ latin american person on the forum let him clarify this for me. (I have to repent from watching those movies but I can't help wondering and feel that I am scandalized).

For many of them, Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Rosary are just cultural icons that they do not really believe in.  The Novus Ordo and the Council, really, are responsible, since they say that nobody goes to Hell, people can have their impurity and hypocritically keep the Rosary and picture of Our Lady and pretend there is no problem, that they are "good people."  Many superstitiously treat the Rosary and Our Lady of Guadalupe like talismans and charms, too, thinking that they can sin with impunity and that they will still be protected by the spiritual power of their religious articles.  I have seen many Mexican women in public places wearing visible brown scapulars but dressed immodestly.  At least, in my experience from people from Spanish-speaking portions of America, that has been the case; maybe CatholicSamurai or s2srea could comment.

One thing that is even worse is that I have recently seen people wearing Rosaries without even being Catholic, because it has become a fashion recently.  At least, I strongly doubt they are Catholic, since they are otherwise dressed like gangsters and appear to be refugees from New Orleans.

Ya its a disturbing trend I have noticed too. I posted a thread on CAF forums about it and everybody thought I was crazy. I think they wear them as kind of a good luck charm, and also because the different colors of the rosaries indicate their specific gang affiliation.

  • ....And that horrible telemundo channel with it's movies from Columbia, Costa rica and Mexico showing semi-nude women praying before an statue of Mary for the men they lust after!!!!!!!!
Libertine exist in all cultures, no doubt about that. But they are not religion-minded.
(unlike those latinos who want both their religion and their sins.)

  • A girl born in Mexico explains:

    Quote

translation: And then my Mexican acquaintances ask me why I do not want to return to Mexico? I think plenty of reasons:
From end to violence machismo now lives, from their lack of culture, to the malinchismo, from the extreme social inequality, to the fact that he has money is god, since he sends most of the wild nature and not reason.

What I can expect from a place that treated me worse than an animal to be plain and simple girl? When can a person report without fear of appearing dismembered? When will a truce?

  • Really though one can't single out Mexico.  Nearly every country in Latin America is that way to some degree.  An absolute mess of post-Catholic social disintegration.

  •  I wrote elsewhere about how, in the aftermath of VII, nations tend to fall prey to their worst instincts.  In the case of Mexico, this is superstition and paganism.
It's like Montezuma's revenge, like that seed of wildness, of paganism, of tribalism, has been unleashed once again, undoing all the work of the European missionaries.  The Rosary and Christ have become empty symbols, they just look cool tattooed on your back.  A weeping Christ somehow, for him, expresses the Satanic and defiant pain of a drug-dealer, etc.

Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  •   The biggest irony: How is it that a sex crazy man like mohammed with all his equally lewd successors have such modest and chaste followers, while Jesus Christ the virgin born of a virgin, the innocence itself has those fornicators as followers????

Yes there is nothing more ironic than the fact that many so-called Christians want to go to war to Muslims for preserving some principles of natural morality and that they do so in the service of Christ's crucifiers.

  •   But tele, you should never forget the fact that the use of legal and military force has a big part in preserving those natural virtues.

  • There are two reason for the "War on Terror."

No one can dispute the importance of natural resources.

But the main reason, the reason that so few people can really understand, is the propaganda war against natural morality - it is this war on the family culture of the Muslims that leads to the conflict, that the Muslims see as the cause for resistance, and it is for all "all the poor Muslim women" that brave Americans fly remote control drones to kill thousands.  Behind the rhetoric about "freedom" and "liberation" is the reality of the desire of the global elites to destroy family life.

One of the many reasons I left fisheaters is because there are neocons who want the entire Middle East turned into a glass parking lot. This disturbs me.

But to comes to cathinfo and find people defending Mohammedan culture is even more disturbing.

    Those fornicators are not followers.
