  • Is any one else having trouble receiving their Latin Mass Magazine?

On one of the Catholic sites that I belong to this magazine was highly recommended so I took the bait.

They charged my credit card Nov. 16, 2015 and I have yet to receive a magazine.  I called a while back and was told that the magazine is published 4 times a year and it was being printed when I called and should be mailed out any day.  It still hasn't arrived.  I hope I don't have to fight the credit card company to get my money back.

Does any one know whey they are mailed out?

    Thanks

  • I am surprised that it is not an online publication.

  • It is.  But you have to pay to get it on line anyway.  I prefer to hold the magazine in my hands.  It is easier for these old eyes to read a magazine than a computer screen.

  • What do you think of it?

I subscribed several years ago.  It was a good magazine at the time but it changed editors.  After the change, it became more about Conciliar apologetics than about the Latin Mass.  Prior to the editorial shift, it had been a magazine that highlighted various aspects of the traditional Mass and told a lot of history and theology around the Mass.  I'd be interested in learning what its focus has become years after I allowed the subscription to lapse.

I haven't read any of the articles, I will today and let you know.  I hope it is more Traditional because I consider myself pre conciliar.

  • Hi
For any one  who is interested I find the Latin Mass Magazine  pre conciliar  and Traditional.

In my opinion it is more Catholic than Catholic Answers Magazine.  I think when my subscription to the CA magazine runs out I will not renew.

Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.

  • It sounds like they've returned to their origin.  I'm glad the magazine is worth the price for you.

  • Yes,  I really like it.  They sent me their Christmas issue.  I assume the next one might come out in March.
