I knew a seminarian at Winona who had left the Legion of Christ. He described their "formation" and it definitely seemed cult-like in many ways (which I won't describe since it might reflect on the person of this seminarian). In any case, he left Winona and returned to the Legion. I wonder what eventually happened to him.

In any case, this account of the last days and hours of Father Maciel is very disturbing. I think it's important though vis-a-vis understanding cults and pederasty.

Interesting and rather poetic blog. Malachi Martin said that many of the independent groups were cult-like and he was right about that one.
