Fiscal Impact: Increased annual state costs from a few hundred thousand dollars to over $1 million to regulate the labeling of genetically engineered foods. Additional, but likely not significant, governmental costs to address violations under the measure.
WHAT YOUR VOTE MEANS
YES A YES vote on this measure means: Genetically engineered foods sold in California would have to be specifically labeled as being genetically engineered. NO A NO vote on this measure means: Genetically engineered foods sold in California would continue not to have specific labeling requirements.

A good thing that came out of it is that more people are aware of it now. Also, the fact that the big food companies had to spend around $40+ million to win is very telling. It was still a very close margin.

Gmo is billions of dollars for food companies and chemical companies.
These people don't care for people's safety. These people are Godless.
and they are like drug pushers to farmers and lie to them.

I didn't care about any other ballot measures or elections in this race, as long as this one passed. It's an absolute travesty that this didn't get through. :cry:

They're rigged also because among other things, ballots have not all been counted either:

Looks like a total of 3+ million ballots still not counted!
