Only here could good news like this be turned a reason to attack the Society and promote subjective grievances and vicarious doubts.

While we are deploring things, you seem to have missed that in turn a sectarian found an opportunity to attack sedevacantists. Don't know how you could have missed that but have a look.

    Who cares about sedevantists?

    I don't.

God cares, their fellow Catholics care.

You don't care because you are a divisive sectarian.

You say God cares?  I doubt that He does.  You're just a guy on the internet, you have no authority to determine who's Catholic or not.

It does not require any authority to say God cares about his Catholics. It only requires some very basic knowledge.

I know that I can't declare with authority who's Catholic or not. But that is an irrelevant red herring, because I have not even claimed to have done that.

However I said what I did about you because you have shown us that you are divisive and that you have a sectarian mentality.

You just called me a sectarian, which assumes that I'm not Catholic.

It's not a red herring at all.  At the very least you're committing slander at the worst it's an uncharitable act.

You are an over-zealous partisan. Some of your fellow SSPX attendees here recognize it too.

Here is one of the definitions of a sectarian:

    sectarian -narrow minded; limited; parochial

You should not accuse others of being uncharitable while you regularly accuse other traditional Catholics of being schismatics. When you accuse them of being schismatics you are definitely saying they are not Catholics.

    Have a think about it.

I've never once accused anyone of being schismatic, but I do frequently criticize those of you who engage in unwarranted and unjust attacks against the SSPX, the Catholic Church and so forth.

A sectarian is also a person who's separated from the Church.

I know the various meanings of the word sectarian, and I know how I was using the word. I understand that you assumed it was being used in another sense.

If you did not make the accusations of schism, I apologise. I see your divisive comments here and there and I must have confused you with the other divisive sectarian who posted earlier in this thread. Again I apologise.

What do mean by "those of you" when replying to me? I do not engage in unwarranted and unjust attacks against the SSPX or the Catholic Church.

If the SSPX is having a good day and racking up vocations, conversions and  generally engaging in the work of restoring the Catholic Faith, it gets a little old to have various detractors, the kind who routinely complain about moral trifles on Cath.info to absurdity, make unseasoned and persistent attacks against this work.

I'd hope that contributions to this discussions would be somehow meaningful and say something, but accusing the SSPX of having a "savior mentality' while insisting that they aren't attacking them seems to be typical of the kind of moral and mental confusion round about.

I assume that you approve of this or share in the delectation for this kind of confusion and if I'm wrong in that, I apologize as well.

  • Although I have not written anything you can use to support your implication, now you say that you "assume" that I "approve of this or share in the delectation for this kind of confusion."

    You assumed rashly.

Also I do not think you should be rashly accusing anyone else of delectation for confusion. Maybe they all mean well, and maybe you do too, so perhaps it would be be best not to assume those you disagree with take delight in or take pleasure in confusion.

    I accept your apology.

    Au revoir.
