I don't think $250,000 a year is a lot of money in California.

It's a question of how one earns that money. As for making a "good living," how could you or anyone else justify that in a world where human beings, especially, children, are starving to death? It seems to me that true Catholicism means giving one's "disposable income" to the poor.
