I've seen them do this before.  The swastika is an interesting symbol.  I live in the Chicago area and I went to Wheaton College to look at a special collection of books they have from the National Christian Association which is a protestant group and it's a protestant university.  It's a large collection of Masonic books and one of the books I looked at called the history of Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ on the cover it was a swastika and below the swastika was a star of solomon 6 point star and also on the back and it was a very old book written in the late 19th century and I think the author was a German Jєω.

Alot of the Buddhists, (including the Dahli Lama) have swastikas on some of their religious items.

I've also read that the swastika is associated with sun worship.
