Jon Voight to ‘Ignorant’ Javier Bardem & Penelope Cruz on Israel: ‘Hang Your Heads in Shame’

Actor Jon Voight is a conservative. That, in and of itself, is a rarity in Hollywood. But Voight is also an outspoken supporter of Israel.
As a result, after fellow-actors Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz denounced Israeli “genocide” in an open letter last week, Voight couldn’t help but respond.
Here are excerpts, via The Hollywood Reporter:
 I am heartsick that people like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused.
 
They are obviously ignorant of the whole story of Israel’s birth, when in 1948 the Jєωιѕн people were offered by the UN a portion of the land originally set aside for them in 1921 – and the Arab Palestinians were offered the other half.
 
The Arabs rejected the offer, and the Jєωs accepted – only to be attacked by five surrounding Arab countries committed to driving them into the sea. The Arabs tried again in 1967 and again in 1973.
 
Each time, the Jєωs prevailed, but not without great loss of life. And yet, Israel has always labored for a peaceful relation with its Arab neighbors. It voluntarily returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in return for peace, and gave the Palestinians all of Gaza as a peace gesture.
 
What was the response? The Palestinians elected Hamas, a terrorist organization, and they immediately began firing thousands of rockets into Israel.
 
I am asking all my peers who signed that poison letter against Israel to examine their motives. Can you take back the fire of anti-Semitism that is raging all over the world now?
 
You should hang your heads in shame. You should come forth with deep regrets for what you did – and ask for forgiveness from the suffering people in Israel.
Regardless of one’s political beliefs and/or position on Israel, can we agree that Jon Voight is a man of character? Not only does he have the courage to stand – as a minority in Hollywood – for what he believes, he does his homework.
Can the same be said for Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and all those who condemn Israel for defending its right to exist? Or, are they simply parroting what they know is politically fashionable on the left?

Jon Voigt is using shaming tactics.  I say we let Israel solve their own problems and quit browbeating silly celebrities like Ms. Cruz and quit congratulating pompous, self-righteous twits like Mr. Voigt.

Jon Voigt publicly renounced Our Lord on Bill O'Reilly's show back when Mel Gibson's movie came out.  He was on the show and expressing his anger al Mr. Gibson and, at the end of the segment, Mr. Voigt said. "Jesus was born, a Jєω, he lived as a Jєω and he died as a Jєω."  At the time, I was actually a Conciliarist and wondered whether or not Mr. Voigt thought that Our Lord rose from the dead as a Jєω.  Then, years later on some time-wasting "historical show" on the History Channel, the TV show announcer was interviewing the Jєωιѕн lady who is a groundskeeper for the empty tomb Of Our Lady.  The lady said, "Mary was born a Jєω, she lived as a Jєω and she died a Jєω."  Coincidence?  Hardly.  It's a half-polite way of denying Catholic beliefs.  Jєωs actually use quite a few of these innocuous phrases that, on the face of it don't really sound all that bad but if you look carefully at it, it is wormy and rancid and it betrays a heart filled with hate.

Jon Voigt was born a Catholic but he has renounced Our Lord for the fantasy causes of this fallen world.  He pats himself on the back for being a friend and defender of those who deny Our Lord.  

As for the Israel-Palestinian ongoing skirmishes, well, some people just love to fight and on Monday one side is right but on Tuesday the other side is right.  

We stand up for Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior.  
Since when is being Catholic anti Semitic. ??
