One of the arguments pushed by various Jєωs in the late-80s to put pressure on William Buckley to fire Joe Sobran from
National Review was Sobran writing favorably about the pro-white monthly
Instauration.
Instauration was published by
Wilmot Robertson from 1976-2000. The archive can be found
here and
here.
Here's a page from
Instauration from the August 1986 issue detailing the attack on Sobran:
If
Instauration hadn't been an anti-Jєωιѕн publication, but retained all its other race realist content, then Sobran would have been attacked by leftist Jєωs. But nothing like the assault he received, which came from Jєωs from all areas of the political spectrum. As the Jєωιѕн-controlled Right demonstrates one can produce race realist material (TakiMag,
The Bell Curve, the alt-Right, American Renaissance), just so long as Jєωs have their hands on the reins. Since
Instauration was an anti-Jєωιѕн publication, in addition to being race realist, Sobran's favorable opinion was considered beyond the pale.
If there's a thing, maybe the only thing, on which you can get all Jєωs to agree it's that any gentile who is anti-Jєωιѕн is evil. So-called "non-observant" Jєωs suddenly become very observant, and cryptos pop out of the woodwork.
"Wilmot Robertson" was the pen name of John Humphrey Ireland. He was an atheist, so
Instauration shouldn't be viewed as a pro-Catholic publication. But chock full of interesting information.
