One of the most depressing things on the face of the planet is job hunting. When I go on websites where I can apply for jobs, I read all the qualifications you are supposed to have (the list goes on and on) and then you read what the salary is, and its like 10 bucks and hour. Who do these slave drivers think they are.
How old are you?
Do you have to support anyone?
Where do you live? (rented apt, with parents, mortgaged home)
What are your skills?
Questions to ask those that give you advise:
How old are you.
Do you have to support anyone?
Where do you live? (rented apt, with parents, mortgaged home)
What are your skills?
I use to attend a Byzantine liturgy (liturgy of St. John Chrysostom) and the priest one day gave a sermon on how the american workplace is going the way of slavery. According to him, only people who are very intelligent can get good jobs to support their families.
What does a priest know about business? He's a priest. It's like asking an actor about politics.
I see others getting rich around me, with no care of those who suffer.
How are you suffering? How can they care for others, what do you suggest?
Many of our good paying jobs have been sent over seas.
Good paying and bad paying and everything in between has been sent overseas.
The rich get richer and the poor are getting to the point of sustenance wages. Yet, right now, at least we are not starving, like the poor in other countries.
If the rich around you get richer, they will provide work for you when they buy all the toys, and services they need, so it's not so bad as you think. The middle class in America is dwingly at a rapid pace, that is a fact. All you can you is work smarter and harder to get ahead. The days of working at a job that anyone can learn in one week, and getting paid $25+ an hour, are long gone. That's a fact. And the guys who did that work, and went home and had 2 six-packs, and drove their cadillac to work next day hungover, and did that for 30 years and retired, those days are long gone. They were living in a dream world in the USA. Now, it is reality time. Today, if one does not hussle, they'll be trampled over by someone who does.
