    How indeed.  A Jesuit of my acquaintance once said that the Jesuit understanding of poverty is only one drink before dinner.

  • $67 mo on personal expenses wouldn't raise an eyebrow.  I'm sure it didn't show up as "porn" on his credit card statements.  That's less than $17 week, which is probably less than some people spend on lunches at work.  This priest was a college professor after all, not a cloistered religious.

    I think his last two paragraphs really hit the nail on the head.
