CathInfo is a site for TRADITIONAL CATHOLICS, that is to say, those who support and/or directly participate in the Traditional Movement.
The Traditional Movement is defined as: those Catholics who reacted to Vatican II and the new Conciliar religion by
A) leaving the Novus Ordo behind, regardless of having any alternatives
B) seeking out true Masses and Sacraments from valid priests who were willing to offer these Masses and Sacraments
C) preferably without seeking "permission" from the Roman authorities. I add this point because there was never a question of getting permission from 1970 - 1988, when the FSSP was founded by several ex-SSPX priests who accepted terms of surrender from Conciliar Rome.
...and by taking these actions, strove to preserve their Faith during this unprecedented "Crisis in the Church".
The Crisis in the Church, for a Traditional Catholic, began with Vatican II. Not before.
If any Traditional Catholic found himself in 1958, he would go to the nearest parish to attend Mass without hesitation. Yes, the Church had problems before Vatican II. Yes, there might have been some bad apples already in position. But it would not be sufficient grounds to stay aloof from the Catholic Church, nor would it be justified to miss EVEN ONE SUNDAY MASS by one's own fault.
Because there was no full-blown Crisis in the Church before Vatican II and the New Mass came out.
Anyhow, Jeremiah is a general malcontent, who was discontent with the Church even before Vatican II. He thinks this is a forum for general critics of the Catholic Church, rather than Traditional Catholics. On that note he is wrong.
When his novel beliefs conflicted with the Church or Her doctrine, he chose the former. That is not a good thing!
Normally he'd be called a heretic and that would be that. But today, when so many good Catholics are condemning Modernist Rome for its many sins and doctrinal derelictions, he blends into the crowd and sneaks in under the radar, so to speak.
But I discovered him by a couple of his most recent posts.
