  • Post by Vox outlining her dire circuмstances....

    http://catholicforum.fisheaters.com/index.php/topic,3462642.0.html

    Updates for the below:

    Original goal: $32/month
    -$5 from D.F. on 29 December
    -$4 from P.C. on 2 January
    New Goal:  $23/month more
RIGHT NOW I am good for January! Someone stepped up and covered all that! So please be thinking about this for February, eh?  Thanks, everyone!
    __________________________________________________________________________________

Christmas is 5 days away, so I know this is really bad timing, but I have to ask. First the situation:

In the past couple of months, I lost two subscribers -- one a $12/month Gold Fishie, and another a Gold Fishie who, God bless him, went above and beyond the call of "duty" and subscribed at a rate of $20/month.  So, that leaves me $32/month short.

If anyone out there has the will and the way, if there's anyone out there who's been planning on subscribing but putting it off, now's a good time (ha, for me anyway) to go Nike and Just Do It TM (could I get sued for saying those words?) (On second thought, I'm not sure I want to know the answer to that.)

Three $12 Gold Fishies would do it and then some. Eight $4 Blue Fishies would nail it dead on. Eh, y'all can do the maths (I'm not British. I just put the S on the end of "math" because it struck me as funny for some reason. Prollly 'cause I'm tired LOL)

In any case, God bless all who are willing to help -- even if they're not able to help. Money matters, obviously, but the heart matters more. And God knows what's going on with those of you who'd like to help out but just can't. I hope your guys's finances do a lot better, too!

Anyway, if you DO decide to subscribe and are wanting a Fishie at the forum (see this thread to learn how), PLEASE don't forget to include a note that lets me know your USERNAME so I'll know to whom to give a Fishie.  Lots of people have different email addresses for PayPal than they use here, and I rarely know folks' real names, so if you don't do this, I have no way at all of knowing who's paying for what!

    Grazie!

  • I've never been to an FE forum, why do people have to pay for it?

FE does have some nice lists though.

  • Funny. After sedevacantism talk was banned, she gave the explanation "not on my dime."

So does this mean I can buy FE and talk about whatever I want as long as I'm paying.

  • Yeah, that's a real shame.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

It isn't a misfortune. Everything has it's season and FE has outlived it's usefulness.

Sadly, FEers who support that site, especially with donations, bring on whatever  misfortunes that do befall them of their own free will. That site supports the queer abomination in the name of traditional Catholicism and belongs in the sewer.

  • I peeked at the site last week -- first time in weeks. It looks like "Clare Brigit" has left. Mission accomplished? In several months, another freak will probably appear and wreak more havoc.  That seems to be the way of it.

  • Hard to believe that most days I forget FE exists! The stats are looking pretty sad compared to former days. The highest number online is very oddly high. Maybe a glitch?

*HE* journeys on?    If that isn't salt in the wound. That guy knows what he's doing.

I hope FE continues to get people's feet wet in the transition from conservative to traditional. That's really what they're there for. Many traditionalists don't have the time, patience, charity, understanding -- whatever one fits per individual -- to go through conservative NO arguments ad nauseam. So let them do it among themselves and pray that it is fruitful as a transition/stepping stone.

  • I rarely even lurk over there anymore.  Every time I go over there it reminds me that it's really just Catholic Answers Part Deux.

Having said that, I find my time here has been dwindling as well.  For different reasons.
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

  • I think FE would have to go just to "the yard".

  • I am Clare Brigid on Fisheaters.  I joined CathInfo several years ago, when I was exploring sedevacantism.

My reasons for leaving Catholic forums are identical to those expressed by this man in a blog post on why he chooses to read the blog Vultus Christi:  http://te-deum.blogspot.com/2013/12/why-i-read-dom-mark-at-vultus-christi.html

This will be my last visit here.  I've come here most recently to offer some help when I can.

I would ask you to read that blog post and to consider it prayerfully.

I wish all of you, without exception, the peace of Christ and the maternal care of Our Lady.

    Pax.

    Goodbye sir, and good riddance.

Your Cathinfo name would have been quite appropriate, had you only omitted the "Machabeus."

Funny how I was thinking the same thing. There's no way in hell that was accident on his part.
