    I don't mind the membership knowing my age -- I just don't want to plaster it anywhere in an easy-to-parse format for a computer. Such as:

    Name: Matthew
    Age: __
    Location: __

    Then it's too easy for a mere computer program to scrape and catalog all my information. Moreover, if one of my enemies quickly perused the site, I wouldn't want them to have it figured out in 30 seconds. If the information is buried in 300,000 posts, then that's fine.

    Has anyone seen Spokeo.com?  It's downright scary all the information they pull together about you -- all from the public record.
